Vice President, Global Medical Operations

Stoke Therapeutics seeks a Vice President to build and lead the global medical operations infrastructure, enabling the medical affairs function to execute strategy with quality and compliance. The role involves translating medical strategy into integrated plans, managing budgets and resources, overseeing governance processes, and ensuring operational excellence across the medical portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global medical affairs operating model and integrated operational planning
• Advise senior leadership on organizational priorities, capacity, and execution trade-offs
• Manage global medical affairs budget, forecasting, headcount, and resource allocation
• Establish governance and oversight of medical education grants, sponsorships, and external funding
• Direct end-to-end lifecycle management of grants and sponsorships including contracting and outcomes reporting

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading medical operations or related functions in biotechnology or pharma
• Proven ability to build operating models, governance frameworks, and scalable processes
• Strong financial acumen with budget management and resource allocation experience
• Cross-functional partnership and stakeholder management across clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams
• Knowledge of medical affairs funding, grants, and compliance requirements
• Strategic planning and organizational leadership capabilities
