RN Telemetry (3 West)- Clinical 12 HR PD 7am-7:30pm

Overview JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing care for patients the medical surgical services based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves as the Resource nurse role when oriented and as directed. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Assessment & Planning: Identify patient problems on the plan of care based on admission assessments within required timeframes. Review, revise, and document the plan of care at least every 24 hours to ensure continuity. Clinical Intervention: Perform and document nursing interventions accurately and legibly to meet patient needs. Recognize and respond to potential emergencies, including physical and behavioral changes, initiating timely interventions. Patient Safety & Quality: Practice National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) and utilize appropriate methods for risk assessment, including fall and skin breakdown prevention. Manage patient care regarding restraints according to hospital standards. Education & Discharge: Assume responsibility for consistent patient education and ensure complete follow-up instructions are demonstrated or verbalized by the patient prior to discharge. Operational Excellence: Ensure the unit is adequately equipped with supplies, equipment, and medications at the start of the shift and as needed. Independently prioritise work and manage time effectively to ensure duties are performed without direct supervision. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing certificate . Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism. Current California RN license Current BCLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHS Stroke Proficiency in both written and oral English Basic Dysrhythmia certificate preferred 1 Year acute experience.
