Program Length: 12 months starting in January Location: Wherever you live (in the US)… really only for US students Admissions Requirements: Age 13-18, and must live in the United States Application Deadline: Usually closes in November Highlight: The Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors program , organized by NOAA’s National Marine Sanctuaries, is a year-long opportunity for students aged 13-18 to engage in environmental advocacy and community outreach focused on marine conservation. Starting in January 2024, with applications open in November and December, participants are given the chance to take on unique projects in their local communities, all while being mentored by NOAA staff and seasoned professionals.
