Fleet Mechanic II

Fleet Mechanic II- Irving, TX

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans, electric pallet jacks and forklifts. Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems. Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records. Manage ordering and inventory of parts. Will act as a mentor to the class I mechanics. Shift and Schedule Monday - Friday 2:00PM to 10:30PM or when the work is complete Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have great communication skills. You are a problem solver with technical aptitude and a willingness to keep learning.

Total Rewards: Pay starting at $30.39 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $31.96 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary. Requirements: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Between 2 to 3 years of mechanic experience on a fleet Must be able to work on all types of vehicles Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job. Basic computer skills needed CDL A preferred Must have forklift operation experience
