Our facility serves diverse patient populations and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care.Unit InformationUnit Type: Med/SurgNumber of Beds: 28Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:4-5Common Diagnoses: General medical patients including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, congestive heart failure (CHF), etc.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of nursingBSN preferred2+ years of related work experience preferredCurrent state licensureAHA BLS certification requiredResponsibilitiesAbility to titrate drips, specifically Insulin and HeparinRead and interpret cardiac telemetry strips; prior experience preferredSupport StaffNo dedicated tele monitor techs available on unit; monitors are managed from a centralized locationOne Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for every 10-14 patientsEquipmentCPAP and established BiPAPs onlyShifts & SchedulingNights, with a schedule from 1800-0630Weekend and holiday requirements applyFloating within Region I may be required based on staffing needsAdditional InformationDress code: Professional colors; scrubs providedUnit-specific orientation will be providedCancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts can be canceled during a 13-week assignment; 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeksCharting System: EPICTrauma Level: All levels accepted
