Job Title: Endoscopy RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: NY license required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Epic charting experience is a hard requirement. - Some weekend call and one night of call every 7-12 days. - Candidates must be over 50 miles away from the facility. Description: Looking for a GI/Endoscopy RN to provide care in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures and ensuring patient safety. Required skills include experience with various endoscopic equipment and procedures. You will set up and assist with bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, and EGDs. You must have strong infection control practices and excellent clinical skills. Candidates must be able to process and clean instruments and restock supplies. Experience with high-level disinfection is essential. You will also need to ensure proper specimen handling, including cytology and frozen sections. Working collaboratively with the healthcare team is necessary for quality patient care. You will be responsible for adhering to universal protocol and performing timely patient assessments.
