About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Reading basic telemetry strips Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients Experience with CVA and TIA Description: Unit has 48 beds divided into two sections. Ratios are 1:5. Common diagnoses include COVID, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, and surgical patients. RN's are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign them at least once per shift. Telemetry is monitored remotely, and there are telemetry technicians on a different floor. Charge nurses do not take patient assignments. Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:10-15. Equipment includes BiPAP, CPAP, high flow devices, and some breathing treatments. Shifts are 12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Scheduling is done for four weeks using self-scheduling methods. Weekend requirements include two weekends per four-week schedule. For holidays, there is a requirement to work specific dates. Floating to other units may be required, based on qualifications. Scrub color is navy blue. Charting system used is Cerner.
