About This Role The Assistant Center Director supports the Center Director in overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentallyappropriate environmentfor children and families. This roleis responsible formanaging enrollment, budgets, family communication, and program operations while upholding licensing standards and organizational values. The Assistant Center Director acts as a resource to staff and families, supporting positive relationships and high-quality early education. What You’ll Do Program & Classroom Operations Maintain class budgets and oversee ordering processes for all classrooms. Ensure classrooms are safe, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Manage student allergies and ensure all health and safety protocols are followed. Ensureall accidents, incidents, and illnesses are appropriately documented. Directly supervises Senior EducationLeadto ensure age-appropriate curriculum is consistently implemented Enrollment & Family Engagement Manage the enrollment process, includingmaintainingand communicating with the waitlist.Recruits and onboards new families, reporting on enrollment numbers as needed Conduct family tours and oversee onboarding for new families. Maintainaccurateand up-to-date student health records. Serve as the lead in conflict resolution with families and address concerns between parents and teachers. Serves as the primary point of contact for families for all enrollment and curriculum questions Managespecial events Leadership & Staff Support Assist the Center Director with staff onboarding and orientation as needed. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborativeteamculture. Helpidentifyprofessional development opportunities for staff in partnership with the Center Director. Support licensing compliance in collaboration with the Center Director. Assistwith preparing board reportsalongsideCenterDirector. Facilities & Compliance Monitor facility concerns andescalateissues as needed to ensure safe environments. Helpmaintaincompliance with all licensing requirements and organizational policies. Requirements Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field and a minimum of 4 years of classroom teaching experience in a childcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability tosafely and successfully perform essential job functions consistentwith the ADA, FMLA & other federal, state & local standards - including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability tomaintainreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA & other federal,stateand local standards Compliance with all personnel policies Nice To Haves Experience working with children First Aid and CPR Knowledge of Procare Financial acumen: Ability to manage the center budget andensureincome and costs are tracked and reported appropriately. Organizational skills: Strong ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, andmaintainmeticulous records. Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Attention to detail:Maintainthe quality and accuracy of administrative work including financial reporting, tracking student paperwork, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Conflict management and problem solving:The capacity to manage disagreements, de-escalate tense situations, andfacilitaterespectfuldialogue.
