CNC Machinist & Programmer

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist & Programmer, where your expertise will drive precision and innovation in our machining processes. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling centers, to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with CAD/CAM software will be essential in transforming complex designs into tangible parts. Duties Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc or similar control systems to ensure optimal performance. Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to accurately machine parts within specified tolerances. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part quality. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, tooling adjustments, and calibration checks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling fixtures to assemble components or prepare raw materials for machining processes. Skills 5+ years of experience in Setup & Operation: Independently perform complex setups and operations on 3/5-axis mills or lathes (Haas/Okuma). Technical Proficiency: 5+ years’ experience interpreting blueprints, advanced GD&T, and performing at‑machine G‑code edits. Precision Quality: Conduct first‑article and in‑process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to +/- .0005” tolerances. Production Optimization: Manage tooling, speeds, and feeds for diverse materials including aluminum, stainless, and titanium. Requirements: Strong troubleshooting skills, vocational certificate preferred, and ability to lift 50 lbs. in a fast‑paced shop. Experience with Auto Desk Fusion 360 preferred. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to work with power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other machinery as needed for setup or assembly tasks.
