Description

• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Conduct individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, physician teams, caregivers, and family members to build comprehensive care strategies.
• Deliver educational guidance to patients and families to boost progress beyond the therapy room.
• Partake in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field via continuing education and peer networking.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
