Job Title: Metrology Quality Technician

Location: Beverly, MA On-site (Manufacturing Environment) Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Compensation: $26.00-$30.00/hour plus OT 

Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent, 4+ years exp in Manufacturing Quality Inspection, GD&T, CMM, Vision Systems

Overview

A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking a Metrology Quality Technician to support inspection and quality assurance activities across the production lifecycle. This role ensures products meet engineering specifications through first article, in-process, and final inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document first article, in-process, and final inspections
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to verify product conformance
• Develop and run CMM programs and perform dimensional inspections
• Utilize inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, etc.)
• Support production teams by troubleshooting quality issues
• Assist with training , inspection procedures, and documentation
• Contribute to lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Provide cross-functional quality support across departments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection (precision parts preferred)
• Strong experience with GD&T and blueprint reading
• Hands-on proficiency with inspection tools and metrology equipment
• Experience with CMM and vision systems
• Solid computer skills (MS Office) and strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/shop floor setting
• Combination of standing, walking, and detailed inspection work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
