CT Technologist - Night Shift (3x12) | New York Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Days: Friday - Sunday
• Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST
• Holidays per unit needs
• On-call requirement: 2-3 call shifts per month
• On-call and callback obligations apply

Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to starting position)
• HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
• Minimum two (2) years of experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry

Required Skills

• Level I Trauma Experience - 2 years
• CT Tech License (NY ONLY)
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Siemens Scanner Experience - minimum 6 months
• Telemetry

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during the orientation process if not already obtained
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• EPIC experience - 1 year (highly desired)
