Warehouse Associate Job Summary

• Accurately count, inspect, store, and handle food and non-food inventory.
• Support warehouse operations including order fulfillment, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and food-compliant warehouse environment.
• Work in a warehouse setting with occasional outdoor exposure and varying temperatures.

• Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Scan products and storage locations to ensure inventory and order accuracy.
• Load, stack, secure, and shrink-wrap pallets for shipment or pickup.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy above 95%.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, transfer, and warehouse distribution activities.
• Provide cross-functional support across warehouse operations as required.
• Support volunteer activities and special warehouse projects.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of warehouse, cooler, and freezer areas.
• Complete daily sanitation records and equipment inspection logs.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and food safety standards.
• Support warehouse leads during peak periods and staffing shortages.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, logistics, or operations experience.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and inventory tracking processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Valid equipment certification/license where required.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts as needed.
• Working knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Customer-focused approach with professional stakeholder interaction skills.

• Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution operations.
• Previous forklift and material handling equipment experience.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse technology.
• Experience maintaining sanitation records and equipment inspection documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on order and inventory accuracy.
• Experience in food distribution, cold storage, or temperature-controlled warehouse environments.
• Ability to work across multiple warehouse functions through cross-training.

• Semi-climate-controlled warehouse setting.
• Regular exposure to cooler, freezer, and fluctuating temperature environments.
• Occasional outdoor work during shipment loading and unloading.
• Frequent lifting, moving, stacking, and transporting of inventory.
• Daily operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and related equipment.
• Strong focus on workplace safety, sanitation, and food safety compliance.

This is a Contract position based out of Lorton, VA.

The pay range for this position is $24.03 - $24.03/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
