This position is responsible for writing, designing, developing, and executing learning solutions for Eastern Shipbuilding.FunctionsConduct thorough needs assessments and serve as a consultant to other departments to identify challenges that could be resolved with a learning solution.Design and develop e-learning and in-person training, including writing content and developing interactive courses and supporting materials.Work with internal subject matter experts to ensure programs meet learner needs and desired outcomes.Implement training programs, including project management, communications, preparing instructors, and creating evaluations.Support in-person events through facilitating workshops, small group activities, or other programs where subject matter expertise aligns with program content, as requested.Assist with managing the Learning Management System (LMS), including supporting users, loading, and maintaining content and reporting.Manage talent review process (performance management) and succession planningCreate individual development plans (IDPs) and leadership coachingAbility to build and maintain strong collaborative relationshipsInfluences stakeholders of all levelsExperience driving change within an organizationNON-ESSENTIALBroad experience and knowledge across HR disciplinesPrevious experience in managing complex, cross-functional programs, and initiativesSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilitiesReporting RelationshipThis position will be reported to the Human Resources ManagerRequirements/Qualifications5+ years’ experience in a similar roleHighschool diploma or equivalent3+ years of work experience in instructional design, learning and development, or other directly relevant field requiredKnowledge of and ability to apply adult learning theories and instructional design models.Strong presentation and facilitation skillsDESIREDWorking knowledge and experience developing content in Articulate Storyline preferredBachelor’s degree in organizational development,Organizational Behavior, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources or Business Administration strongly preferredExperience managing talent programs for shipyard crafts: 3 years (Preferred)Certified MBTI Practitioner (Preferred)Working ConditionsThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at nightOccasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplaceWork surface is stable (flat)Physical Activity/RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
