Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
• Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions collaboratively with physicians, or independently (subject to credentialing)
• Teaching patients and families about prevention, overall wellness, and chronic illness management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your practice scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic health issues
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensing in North Carolina
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to procure them within 90 days)
