Server Assistant / Server Hai Hospitality and LORO, Asian Smokehouse + Bar, is accepting applications for the Server Assistant / Server role. The Server Assistant is the backbone of the Front of House, maintaining high service standards by observing the dining room, expo line, and bar, acting as the primary food runner, and handling clean‑up and table reset duties. Fully trained Server Assistants have the opportunity to advance into a Bartender position, increasing responsibility and pay. What You’ll Do In This Role Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and cuisine. Learn about beer, wine, and cocktails through peer‑led beverage training. Be present and active on the floor, assisting with running side work. Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, and stock supplies. Assist Bartenders with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience. Deliver food to our guests and explain each dish. Basic Qualifications Effective communication with guests and coworkers. Detection of safety issues and compliance with safety guidelines. Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, and restock inventory. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas. Capability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Adaptability to varying temperatures, both hot and cold. Capacity to lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating. Safe and efficient use of kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, and knives. Maintenance of a neat, organized workspace and proper storage of supplies. Rapid response to customer needs. Comfortable working in close proximity to coworkers in crowded kitchen or serving areas. Tolerance of potential allergens and food odors. Professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and grooming. Understanding of directives and effective communication with leadership.
