Job Summary

Galaxie Floor Stores is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Sales Consultant to join our Bloomington team. This position combines customer service, sales, and field estimating responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with homeowners, has strong communication skills, and possesses experience measuring residential spaces for flooring or remodeling projects (experience with installation works as well).

In this role, you will meet customers in their homes, gather project information, take accurate measurements, provide product recommendations, and assist in developing project estimates. You will also work in our showroom, interacting with retail customers, sales staff, installers, and project coordinators to ensure an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to perform accurate field measurements for flooring and remodeling projects.
• Evaluate jobsite conditions and identify any installation considerations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings when applicable.
• Build detailed project estimates and communicate findings to customers and team members.
• Educate customers on flooring products, installation methods, and project expectations.
• Work with homeowners, contractors, builders, and installers throughout the sales process.
• Follow up on estimates and assist customers with questions or concerns.
• Maintain detailed records using our CRM and estimating software.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
• Support showroom staff during busy periods and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow company processes and procedures to ensure project accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in flooring, construction, remodeling, estimating, installation, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to accurately measure residential spaces and calculate project requirements.
• Experience reading blueprints, floor plans, or construction drawings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a daily schedule.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn company software systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.
