Job Summary

As an intern, you will spend 5 weeks (June 29, 2026, to July 31, 2026) working closely with our team. You will observe the workings of state government, attend election administration trainings, and learn to research state statutes and initiative processes. Your contributions will include reviewing initiative petition sheets and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for students or recent graduates to witness democracy in action.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled at, or a graduate of, a university, community college, or technical school. High school juniors and graduating seniors may also apply.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Ability to participate full-time from June 29, 2026, to July 31, 2026, including weekends, the 4th of July holiday, and overtime.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Knowledge of basic office professionalism.
• Basic knowledge of policy, government, public administration, or law.
• Ability to remain objective and nonpartisan.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Preferences

• Coursework in public policy, public administration, government, or law.
• Demonstrated interest in public service.
