We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Informatics Specialist to optimize the use of healthcare information systems, improve clinical workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between healthcare operations and information technology by managing electronic health records (EHRs), analyzing healthcare data, supporting system implementations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to improve clinical and operational workflows.
• Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, improve patient outcomes, and support organizational decision-making.
• Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and IT teams to implement and enhance health information systems.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, security, and confidentiality of healthcare data.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for clinical and operational teams.
• Support system upgrades, testing, configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide user training and technical support for healthcare information systems.
• Monitor compliance with healthcare data standards, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
• Participate in data quality initiatives and continuous process improvement projects.
• Document workflows, system requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in health informatics, healthcare IT, health information management, or clinical systems support.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, and health information management practices.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and ICD-10.
• Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• Experience with healthcare analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA (or applicable local privacy regulations), HITECH, and data governance principles.
• Familiarity with clinical decision support systems (CDSS), population health management, and healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-based healthcare platforms and data integration tools.
• Professional certification such as CAHIMS, CPHIMS, RHIA, RHIT, or equivalent is preferred.
