Paralegal

ParalegalHilltopSecurities is looking to hire a Paralegal. The Paralegal will provide support to Attorneys by gathering, organizing, and preparing various documents and files for cases as well as prepare legal documents such as wills, contracts, briefs, appeals and pleadings. The qualified candidate will apply practical knowledge and perform activities in their area of focus and work independently with general supervision.ResponsibilitiesSummarizes cases and prepares reports for attorneysConducts research, investigating facts and developing legal argumentsDrafts legal documents such as contracts, depositions and pleadingsPrepares and files documents with courtsOrganizes and archives documents related to completed and ongoing casesKeeps track of changes in legal framework and provides timely updates to these changesApply critical thinking to solve customer or operational requirementsPerform tasks and applies knowledge of principles and methods necessary to meet operational requirementsInterpret and explain products and/or processesReview and analyze dataPrepare or maintain recordsOther functions as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
