Description:
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, the Surgical Technician is responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures.
The Technician ensures an understanding of the assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
Additionally, they provide service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services, and assisting the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
The Technician responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
