We are specifically looking for someone that is very hands-on, working and desking deals alongside the team of tenured sales managers. This is a high impact leadership opportunity for someone who can build strong teams, develop sales managers and salespeople, drive performance, and create consistent, customer-focused culture.Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: As a General Sales Manager, the anticipated compensation range for this position is $150,000-$200,000 per year, based on the gross, CSI, & volume performance. Actual compensation will vary based on individual and dealership performance and the terms of the applicable compensation plan. Additionally, we are also looking for the following qualifications:A strong desking strategy for both gross and volume standardsProven success building, training, and leading high performing sales teamsStrong record of CSI achievement and above average gross and net departmental profitsExperience in showroom and internet traffic management including SEO, SEM, direct mail, and other traditional mediaExperience with used vehicle purchasing, merchandising, and marketingProven experience leading, developing, and supervising desk managers and improving F&I income through mentorship and trainingWhat you’ll do: As a General Sales Manager, you will lead and develop our sales operations to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and team performance. Key responsibilities include:Oversee sales desk operations and provide hands-on desking, coaching, and customer engagement. We don’t just want a coach that leads from their office.Coach, mentor, and train the sales team on effective closing techniques and best practicesLead showroom operations and maintain expert-level product knowledgeMonitor Customer Satisfaction (CSI) scores and identify areas for improvementHire, motivate, and manage performance of New and Used sales teams, internet sales, Finance Managers, and Service Drive SalesConduct daily and weekly sales training sessions for Sales and Product SpecialistsMentor sales staff to improve performance, gross, and net profitabilityImplement and manage CRM systems to ensure proper follow-up with all prospective customers and leadsEstablish delivery procedures and monitor execution, including customer introduction to the service department and scheduling first service appointmentsAchieve monthly and annual forecast goals for dealership and OEM sales, gross profit, and key expensesWhy choose Nissan & Mazda of Elk Grove?
