Overview Working Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech – Up to $20,000 Sign on Bonus Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech/UKHC Requisition Number: RE53013 Department: H3186: Nuclear Medicine Work Location: Lexington, KY Grade Level: 11 Salary Range: $31.14 - $45.70/hour Type of Position: Staff Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: AS Click here for more information about equivalencies: Responsibilities Complete Nuclear Medicine procedures/therapy in a safe, efficient manner according to departmental, hospital, state, and federal guidelines. Manage patient throughput, quality control, inventory, equipment evaluation and calibration, billing accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Execute diagnostic studies and interventional procedures following unit policies/procedures for radiation safety, patient safety, radiopharmaceutical administration, QA, and imaging. Support a positive and safe environment for patients and staff during nuclear medicine procedures. Starting Pay The starting pay rate has been adjusted based on current demand. Minimum hourly rate is $31.14/hour. Pay rates are based on candidate experience. Qualifications Required Related Experience: No experience required. Required License/Registration/Certification: Registered Nuclear Med Tech at time of hire; Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire. Preferred Education/Experience: Degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program with training in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT preferred. Physical Requirements: This position requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time. Lifting and positioning patients may also be required. Shift: Flexible day shift Monday through Friday between 6:30 am – 8:30 pm. Rotational on-call is required. New Starting Pay Rate The minimum hourly rate for this position is $31.14/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
