Construction EstimatorBuild Confidence Before Construction Begins.Every successful project starts with a solid plan and an accurate estimate. At Ackerman-Estvold Construction Management, we're looking for a Construction Estimator who enjoys solving problems, analyzing details, and helping clients make informed decisions before construction ever begins.Based in Minot, North Dakota, you'll work alongside project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop reliable cost estimates that set projects up for success. From municipal infrastructure and commercial facilities to educational, industrial, and public projects, your work will have a direct impact on communities across the region.If you're analytical, collaborative, and passionate about construction, we'd like to meet you.What You'll DoAs a Construction Estimator, you'll prepare detailed cost estimates throughout the planning and design process while supporting project teams with budgeting, value analysis, and cost management.Responsibilities include:Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed construction cost estimates.Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine project scope and identify potential cost impacts.Develop quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Assist project managers and clients with budgeting, value engineering, and cost comparisons.Prepare bid packages, estimate summaries, and supporting documentation.Monitor construction market trends, material pricing, and labor costs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to help deliver projects on time and within budget.Support Projects That Strengthen Our CommunitiesAs part of our Construction Management team, you'll support projects across North Dakota and the surrounding region. Your estimates will help clients make informed decisions, reduce project risk, and maximize the value of every construction dollar.You'll work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners throughout the planning process, providing cost guidance that contributes to successful project delivery from concept through construction.What You BringWe're looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with both numbers and people.Qualifications include:Associate degree in Construction Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).Three or more years of construction estimating experience.Strong understanding of commercial and public construction methods, materials, and building systems.Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Technical ExperienceExperience with the following is preferred:Construction estimating softwareBluebeam RevuMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft Office SuiteProject management softwareWhy Ackerman-Estvold Construction Management?At Ackerman-Estvold Construction Management, you'll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering quality projects and exceptional service.
