Clinical Research Specialist, Institute of Gerontology Wayne State University is searching for an experienced ClinicalResearch Specialist, Institute of Gerontology at its Detroitcampus location. Position Purpose: The Clinical Research Specialist will support research activityspecified within a funded grant application, including support ofthe Consortium for Clarity in Alzheimer's Disease & RelatedDementia (ADRD) Research through Imaging (CLARiTI) Return ofResults (RoR) Core and its role in implementing return of resultsprocedures across the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Network,data analysis and reporting, and development of materials tosupport dissemination of methods and results. Essential Functions Coordinate the Return of Results (RoR) Core of the Consortium forClarity in Alzheimer's Disease & Related Dementia (ADRD)through Imaging (CLARiTI) with administrative duties, includingscheduling and managing Core meetings, creating, and trackingmeeting agendas, minutes, and tasks, organizing and hostingconsultations with study sites and collaborating with the CLARiTIExecutive Committee. Manage regulatory oversight of CLARiTI RoR Core projects, includingsupporting RoR investigators in preparation of research progressreports and IRB documentation. Participate in preparation of scientific publications andpresentations related to CLARiTI data. Provide data analysis, including descriptive analysis, creation oftables summarizing demographics and outcome data, analysis ofmissing data and regression analysis. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college oruniversity in research administration, clinical/healthcare fields,social sciences (e.g., social work, psychology), public health orrelated field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience Intermediate (3 to 4 years’ job-relatedexperience). Experience with univariate and multivariate statistics required.Experience with univariate and multivariate statisticsrequired. Experience in clinical research working with older adults, thosewith neurodegenerative or those with chronic diseasepreferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Organizational and time management skills to manage multiplepriorities and tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with teammembers and participants. Strong oral and written communication skills for participantinteraction, communication across disciplines and committees aspart of the national study. Ability to create presentations and articles for both lay andacademic/scientific audiences. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel,Power Point). Deep knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, R orequivalent). Ability to complete CITI (Collaborative Institutional TrainingInitiative) program training for Human Subject Approval. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred.
