Job Summary Aurex is seeking an experienced Advanced Systems Engineer specializing in Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Weapon System Performance to join our mission‑driven team. In this role, you will own the analysis, design, and implementation of complex systems that directly impact weapon performance. Key Responsibilities System Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and deploy advanced architectural solutions and technical systems related to missile defense weapon performance. Modeling & Simulation: Analyze and rigorously evaluate end‑to‑end weapon system performance using advanced high‑fidelity modeling and simulation tools. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with multi‑disciplinary engineering and operations teams to verify system requirements are flawlessly executed from whiteboard to field. Performance Optimization: Proactively identify performance shortfalls, analyze anomalies, and engineer optimization techniques to maximize system capabilities. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing actionable technical insights and briefings to internal engineering leadership and external government stakeholders. Technology Modernization: Stay at the forefront of defense industry advancements, actively incorporating emergent weapon system technologies into our baseline architectures. Qualifications Experience: 7+ years of progressive professional systems engineering experience, with a dedicated focus on weapon system performance and analysis. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred). Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance required. Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in modern aerospace modeling and simulation frameworks, performance assessment metrics, and system optimization methodologies. Core Skills: Exceptional analytical problem‑solving capabilities alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is $110,000–$115,000 annually.
