About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to play a pivotal role in the launch of a groundbreaking category of aviation. The CCO will be responsible for leading the commercial market engagement, with a focus on Direct Aviation. This includes the strategic and executive leadership of a team dedicated to selling, marketing, and market development. The successful candidate will be tasked with converting a significant backlog of commercial market LOIs into firm agreements, ensuring the necessary ecosystem is in place for the new aviation model, and driving global market development. The role demands a high-impact executive with a proven track record in global aviation, commercial negotiation, aviation finance, and regulatory engagement. Experience in building a revenue engine in a similar environment, particularly in the context of start-ups, is highly valued. Candidates for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 18 years of experience in commercial, business development, or revenue leadership. The role requires a leader with a strong background in aerospace, aviation, defense, mobility, or infrastructure-scale industries, and a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth in complex, regulated, and emerging markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global market expansion, technical product selling, and experience in closing large, strategic deals. Collaboration with regulatory bodies, particularly the FAA, and a network of global partners is essential. The CCO will also be responsible for team development, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring successful customer adoption and long-term engagement.
