Warehouse Supervisor (Fri‑Tue 3:30pm – 12am) – Chattanooga, TN Job area: Managerial Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Fri‑Tue 3:30pm – 12am) Time Type: Full Time Location: USA – Chattanooga, 4513 N Access Rd Responsibilities The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People‑management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan, and assure continuous improvement. Inform senior management and client representatives of critical issues that affect operations. Develop systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably, in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures, while meeting prescribed productivity and service goals. Implement and report on ongoing cost‑saving measures; provide ideas for more efficient operations. Meet all client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements. Supervise and motivate staff, create fair and equitable supervision programs, counsel and discipline team members as needed, and provide direction and support to Human Resources. Assist in hiring, training, and professional development; participate in performance evaluation and recommend promotions, wage increases, and other HR activities. Hold overall training and evaluation responsibilities for warehouse staff. Plan the daily work schedule by reviewing work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions; assess priorities based on time sensitivity and resources; assign duties to appropriate staff. Review pending jobs or trends, reorganize warehouse space, and adjust levels of supplies, equipment, or staffing as needed. Train new staff or delegate training to experienced team members; assess progress and add duties as appropriate. Monitor quantity and quality of jobs performed, providing guidance and advice as necessary. Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members acting as leads; keep abreast of progress or problems. Inform Manager of progress or issues requiring attention on a daily basis; hold regular meetings to assess group status and discuss improvements; keep staff informed of new developments. Assist in physical operations as needed. Deliver results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time. Maintain high motivation in team members to focus on customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members. Conduct annual performance reviews and contribute to member development. Support adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Train team members in SOP compliance (corporate and client). Compensation The expected base pay is $67,500 per year. This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus program.
