General Machinist C

Our team is responsible for setting up and performing machining operations on various computer-controlled and conventional machines to produce high-quality parts and assemblies. We implement machining operations using standard fixtures, robotics, and automation to meet engineering requirements.As an entry level General Machinist C, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform semi-complex machining operations, working with engineering drawings and instructions to produce accurate parts. Your responsibilities will include:Performing machining operations using computer numerically controlled machines, lathes, mills, and grindersSetting up and operating machines with standard fixtures, robotics, and automationInspecting and measuring machined parts for accuracy using precision measuring equipmentPerforming rework, cleaning, and deburring of parts to facilitate machining operationsBasic Qualifications:High School degree or equivalent.Six (6) months to two (2) years' experience or equivalent trades training.Ability to operate CNC machines.Ability to read and interpret drawings using GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).Basic computer knowledge.Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift according to the collective bargaining agreement.Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted and stand for up to 4 hours.Candidates must be a US Citizen as this role is at a site that requires special access.Pay Information: $27.05 - $44.85 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
