We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping transactions organized in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help ensure financial data is current, balanced, and ready for reporting while working closely with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and updating bookkeeping entries in a timely manner.
• Process vendor invoices, verify payment details, and manage accounts payable activities to support on-time disbursements.
• Track incoming payments, apply receipts correctly, and follow up on outstanding balances to keep accounts receivable current.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve variances efficiently.
• Update and review general ledger activity to help preserve the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Use QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online to manage bookkeeping functions, organize account activity, and support routine reporting.
• Assist with month-end financial close tasks by preparing supporting documentation and ensuring records are properly aligned.
• Support accounting process updates or system-related changes as needed by maintaining accurate data and helping ensure continuity in financial operations.• Proven experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping in a business environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Online.
• Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to organize financial records, prioritize tasks, and meet recurring deadlines.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
