Job Description

A Logistics Associate is part of a warehouse team that supplies The Stewart Organization, and its customers, with top notch operational services. As part of a Warehouse Team, your primary roles will be assisting with daily warehouse inventory and logistical responsibilities using standard operating procedures. Warehouse Responsibilities that include working with warehouse processes to control and monitor inventory. These also include Order Processing, such as receiving orders into the warehouse and processing customer, and internal, requests for equipment. And finally, Logistical Responsibilities such as scheduling truck and driver routes, as well as monitoring delivery progress throughout the day. From time to time, the logistics associate may also be asked to assist with deliveries when there are large installs or filling in wherever the need may be as part of a great team! And most importantly, Customer Service that goes above and beyond for out customer and our co-workers!

• Team Warehouse Controls: Customer returns, performing monthly cycle counts, ensuring warehouse orderliness
• Team Order Processing: Receiving purchase orders, processing sales orders, process internal and off-site requests, ensure deadlines and team expectations are met
• Team Logistical Responsibilities: Processing morning checkouts, shipping sales orders, creating driver calls, monitoring delivery progress, planning truck routes
• Driving : As the need arises, driving company vehicles to provide customer service needs as a backup driver.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Controls

• Customer Returns
• • Evaluating and Promptly returning customer returned equipment to inventory
  • Rotating and sorting returned machines to be processed
  • Barcode label machines when necessary
• Inventory
• • Ensuring inventory is placed in correct bins to reflect accurately.
  • Performing monthly cycle counts of all warehouse bins for accuracy and loss prevention
  • Performing spot checks for offsite and in-house bins
• Performing warehouse tasks in a timely manner to meet/exceed SLA’s and SOP’s

Order Processing

• Purchase Orders
• • Receiving new equipment into inventory
• Sales Orders
• • Sourcing, picking and allocating equipment to sales orders
  • Gathering allocated equipment and place in staging area to be assembled
• Monitoring emails for Offsite and internal requests for equipment.
• Processing equipment orders promptly to meet/exceed expected delivery times

Logistical Responsibilities

• Truck & Driver Routing
• • Calling customers to confirm deliveries and discuss delivery needs
  • Creating daily truck schedules and route trucks efficiently
  • Checking out drivers in the morning once they have inspected equipment
  • Creating delivery calls
  • Monitoring driver and delivery progress throughout the day and offering assistance when needed
• Customer Care
• • Responding to customer calls and emails concerning deliveries promptly
  • Corresponding with customers to ensure best delivery experience

Driving

·       Safely operating Stewart’s company vehicles, navigating traffic and loading docks.

·       Practicing Safe Driving Habits such as defensive driving, turn signals, obeying traffic laws, avoiding distractions, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Fluent computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Positive Attitude
• Self-Motivated
• Output Oriented
• Able to comfortably lift 50+ lbs.
• On seldom occasion, projects may require work to be performed outside business hours (evening or weekend)
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Exceptionally clean driving record
• Ability to drive 15’ box trucks

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with WMS and inventory logistics

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Payment frequency:

• Paid weekly

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
