Director, Finance IT – Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

Steven Douglas is partnering with a fast-growing global data center company on a Director of Finance IT search. The company is moving from NetSuite to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and needs a proven Fusion leader to own the transformation end to end: architecture, implementation, partner oversight, and long-term ownership of the platform.

This is a technology leadership role, not an accounting role. It's built for someone who has led Fusion implementations before and wants to build it, launch it, and own it from the client side. Total compensation includes a competitive base, a meaningful annual bonus, and equity.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Fusion transformation. Own the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP program from architecture and design through configuration, integration, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Be the design authority. Set architecture standards and governance across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, PPM and Project Costing, Procure to Pay, Revenue, Lease Accounting, and Close and Consolidation.
• Run the NetSuite-to-Fusion migration. Own data conversion, mock conversions, reconciliation, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Own the integration architecture. Lead APIs, MuleSoft integration patterns, master data, security and role design, reporting, environments, and Oracle quarterly releases.
• Direct the implementation partner. Review, challenge, and approve the systems integrator's designs, migration plans, testing strategy, and cutover approach.
• Build the team. Define the operating model, then recruit and develop the internal Oracle team that will own the platform after go-live.
• Own the roadmap. Drive enhancements, new modules, additional entity rollouts, automation, and AI capabilities.

What You Bring

• 10+ years in the Oracle ecosystem, with significant recent Oracle Fusion Cloud experience.
• Multiple full-cycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations, with real ownership of outcomes.
• Hands-on understanding of Fusion architecture, configuration, integrations, security, data, and reporting.
• Strong Fusion Financials and Oracle PPM and Project Costing experience, ideally in a capital-intensive business.
• Experience with complex multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• A track record of directing and challenging major systems integrators.
• Experience leading ERP data migrations and production cutovers.
• Experience building and developing ERP or enterprise applications teams.
• Executive presence and the ability to drive decisions across Finance and IT.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

A CPA or deep accounting background is not required. Fusion implementation depth comes first.

Nice to Have

• NetSuite-to-Oracle Fusion migration experience.
• MuleSoft or another enterprise integration platform.
• Familiarity with OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Studio, and Smart View.
• An Oracle Cloud practice background at a Big Four or specialty implementation firm.
• Oracle Cloud certifications.

Location & Travel

Northern Virginia is preferred. Strong candidates elsewhere in the Eastern or Central time zones will be considered. Expect travel to Herndon about twice a month during implementation, dropping to about once a month after go-live.
