Legal Counsel ( State Street Global Markets), Vice President

Job Description Providing legal support to State Street's Global Markets businesses is a challenging, and highly visible role within the legal department. The role is located in the State Street Financial Center in Boston, MA. Qualifications Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school At least 5+ years experience at a major law firm Experience with Global Markets business lines and ISDA documentation (helpful but not required) Strong and sophisticated drafting and negotiating experience Team player who is open to strong collaboration with other team members Willingness to work in a hybrid environment – partially in office and partially remote Responsibilities Provide legal support for various aspects of State Street's Global Markets businesses including foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, currency management, equity swaps, and research. Draft and negotiate legal contracts and documentation. Collaborate with U.S. and global legal colleagues to onboard new clients efficiently. Conduct netting, enforceability, jurisdictional and other reviews. Advise on globally applicable laws and regulations. Provide legal analysis related to changes to existing product offerings and new product offerings. Assist with regulatory inquiries. Support senior global business colleagues. Manage consultations with external legal counsel. Ensure internal legal templates, policies and guidelines are understood, implemented and updated against applicable legislation. Salary Range $120,000 - $202,500 Annual (range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified).
