Office Professional III

Candidate needs to be a positive team member who can establish a professional and respectful rapport with students, parents, staff and visitors in our fast-paced office. This position provides direct support to the Principal. Candidates must possess a willingness to learn new skills as needed, be able to think on their feet and be adaptable.

The successful candidate has positive customer service experience, superior oral and written communication skills and a strong desire to serve others. Candidates must have a passion for supporting families and children and working on a team in a collaborative fashion.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and high level oral and written skills are critical to this position. Candidates must have the ability to work both independently to complete assigned tasks as well as collaboratively with office staff and administrative team to support students, families and teachers.

Knowledge of CORE, Synergy, Apptegy, Excel, Word and Google is preferred. Responsible for office supervision, budgets, payroll, accounting, attendance, transportation, scheduling, correspondence, and other duties as may be requested by the Principal. Must be able to work independently, maintain accurate records and enter data within multiple platforms with accuracy and efficiency. Candidates must understand the importance of working on a team and willingly accept opportunities to support team members. Office experience in a school setting is preferred.

Essential Functions/Skills:

1. Regular, dependable, in person attendance is an essential function of this position.
2. Knowledge and proper execution of district policies and procedures. Knowledge of programs, departments or locations served.
3. Communication/Language Skills: Possess and demonstrate effective oral, written and listening skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents.
4. Reasoning Skills: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in various forms. Make decisions in a timely manner, utilizing input from others as appropriate.
5. Human Relations Skills: Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with employees, students and community while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality.
6. Computer Skills: Knowledge of computer systems including but not limited to time and attendance system, information systems (student and/or financial as appropriate) and the policies/regulations associated with such usage. Ability to use the following programs: MS Word and Excel.

Performs the following tasks:

1. Conducts general Office Professional duties for school
2. Requisitions & All Orders
3. Accounting and payroll
4. Budget management
5. Data collection and reporting
6. Coordination of schedules, calendars, and handbooks
7. Facility use coordination
8. Word process, database, spreadsheets, power point, Google suite
9. Use of district student management system-SYNERGY and all other district systems with the ability to adapt to new platforms as they develop.
10. Use of web based tools such as Google, Zoom, etc.
11. Public relations/phone and in person: Initial contact with visitors, give assistance, respond to questions
12. Routine correspondence with LPS staff, community members and outside agencies
13. Assistance in planning specific special events
14. Other duties as assigned

Hourly pay rate for this position is $24.29/hr. This position is subject to a Veterans preference. Posting is open until filled.
