We are seeking a dependable and motivated culinary professional to join our kitchen team at a lively gastro pub environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in preparing high-quality dishes, and contributes to a positive and collaborative team culture. This role is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to consistency, food safety, and excellent guest experiences.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines.
- Set up, stock, and maintain a clean and organized workstation during service.
- Assist with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
- Work efficiently with fellow kitchen team members to support smooth service.
- Maintain proper handling and storage of ingredients, equipment, and tools.
- Assist with cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment, prep areas, and closing tasks.
- Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other team members regarding orders and timing.
- Support a respectful, professional, and team-oriented workplace.
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or similar food service environment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout a shift.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak service periods as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during busy service periods.
- Passion for quality food and hospitality.
- Experience working in a pub, scratch kitchen, or high-volume restaurant.
