.Net Developer

Engineering Role Onsite in Des Moines, IA - Hybrid This engineering role will be part of a team supporting our supply chain technology and will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining technical products and platforms. May involve coordination on projects and/or system maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and test integrations between internal systems and 3rd party commercial supply chain related software including warehouse management, fleet management, and procurement platforms. Develop and support existing legacy and batch solutions and contribute to development of new technical complex solutions by analyzing and identifying areas of modification and improvement. Develop new routine solutions to meet customer requirements. Participate in weekly on-call rotation to provide off-hour support to the business as needed. Contribute to and maintain roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements. Monitor, identify, assess, and correct complex software problems to maintain fully functioning applications software. Proactively learn complex engineering and business industry best practices while correctly applying learning to their daily work. Design, develop, execute, and maintain complex automated unit tests to ensure quality of solution being built. Research and suggest improvements to increase quality of the technical solution and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: 5+ years of.NET Development mostly focused on backend development Must have experience working with messaging queues and/or JMS (JMS – run time.NET library with SQL backend) Strong backend development experience modernizing API and helping out with data mappings and services Thorough understanding of.Net/C#, web development, and full-stack engineering using MS SQL Server. Experience and comfort with supporting and enhancing legacy and batch solution (vb.net, vb script...). Ability to help tracking metrics for leadership and display using a visualization tool like Splunk Ability to collaborate and build relationships based on transparency and mutual respect. Takes initiative and can work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain organized and self-motivated. Prioritizes and organizes assignments to make efficient use of time with significant attention to detail. Capable of identifying problems, analyzing, and evaluating information to determine solutions for problem solving. Practical experience with Agile delivery. Deep understanding of SOLID principals Strong knowledge of transforming and breaking apart legacy code into testable units Understanding of sprout and wrap classes and methods Preferred: Domain experience in retail and/or Supply Chain.
