Call for Nominations: Editor of Inclusive Practices TASH is pleased to announce the search for a new editor of the journal Inclusive Practices . Inclusive Practices is published online through SAGE Publications on a quarterly basis and addresses research-to-practice issues relating to, or relevant for, persons with severe disabilities (i.e., individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have extensive support needs) across the lifespan. Articles published within the journal provide tips and strategies for practitioners, families, and self-advocates; address current issues in the field; and offer insights from practitioners, families, and self-advocates. The Editorial Search Committee is now accepting applications from scholars interested in serving as the Editor of Inclusive Practices. The Editor will serve a 3-year term. Support for this journal will be provided by the TASH Research and Publications Committee. Nominations or direct applications are invited from TASH members, or others, with the experience, expertise, and availability described below. Applications from individuals from traditionally under-represented groups are particularly encouraged. The following criteria will be used in making the selection decision: Prior editorial experience: Previous experience as an Editor or Associate Editor of a scholarly journal in the field is preferred. Experience in reviewing for refereed journals is required. Experience with electronic review systems is desired. Record of authorship: Substantial publication record in the area of severe disabilities. Experience in translating research to practice through scholarly publications is desired. Record of leadership: Demonstrated record of leadership on the national level in the area of severe disabilities. Commitment to excellence and scholarship: A commitment to uphold the scholarship, rigor and reputation of the journal, while also providing leadership to move in new directions and innovative practices; and serve as an advocate for the journal and the publication mission of TASH. A demonstrated understanding of instructional practices, concerns, and issues in the area of severe disabilities, as well as knowledge and sensitivity to family practices and advocates is desired. Research skills: Expertise in research methodology commonly used in the area of severe disabilities. General organizational and communication skills: Evidence of ability to meet important deadlines, organize major tasks, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Resource availability: Ability to commit time and resources to (a) the production of the journal for a 3-year period, (b) attend the annual TASH Conference , and (c) participate in TASH Research and Publication Committee Meetings.
