Registered Nurse - Intensive Nursing Care Unit (Part Time)

Overview SIGN ON BONUS OF UP TO $5,000 AVAILABLE Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualifications Education: Graduate from a nursing program (Required); Bachelors Degree (Preferred) Work Experience: No experience required; New Graduates of a nursing program eligible; Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred: 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Required) Licenses and Certifications: RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure; Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License (Required) BLS – Basic Life Support (Required) Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum) (Preferred) Addendum – Specialty Certifications Cardiac Tele: ACLS Certification – Required within 180 Days (within 6 months of start date) Critical Care: ACLS Certification – Required within 180 Days (within 6 months of start date) Dialysis: CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) – Preferred Emergency Department: ACLS and PALS Certification – Required within 180 Days Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification.
