Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Joliet, IL, for a Plant Manager in the chemical industry. The Plant Manager will oversee daily plant operations, provide leadership to the team, and ensure efficient production processes. Key responsibilities include managing resources, implementing production plans, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals and maintain high standards in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Plant Management and Plant Operations to ensure effective oversight of day-to-day activities and long-term strategies
- Proficiency in Operations Management and Production Planning, with the ability to optimize workflows and allocate resources efficiently
- Experience in managing Manufacturing Operations within the chemical industry, ensuring performance, quality, and safety
- Proven leadership skills, including team management, conflict resolution, and fostering a culture of collaboration
- Strong understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental requirements
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address challenges and achieve operational efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and implementing operational improvements is a plus
