The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a detail-oriented, and highly organized Bilingual Copywriter, Retail & Ecommerce to support our retail operations, ecommerce, and marketing teams, as well as other business functions. This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with strong execution skills, thrives in a cross-functional environment, and leverages AI and digital tools to enhance content quality, efficiency, and consistency. The Role In this role, you will blend translation, creative copywriting, and bilingual content adaptation to deliver compelling, consistent brand messaging across digital and in-store touchpoints. You will play a key role in bringing our brands to life through engaging product descriptions, ecommerce content, marketing campaigns, and in-store communications. You will also ensure that all French-language content is accurate, culturally relevant, tailored to the Quebec market, and compliant with applicable language regulations. - Translate, revise, and adapt content from English to French, and from French to English across Marketing, Ecommerce, Operations, and other departments.
- Serve as the company's French-language specialist, ensuring linguistic accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
- Ensure compliance with Quebec's French language requirements, including applicable OQLF standards.
- Maintain and evolve bilingual terminology, brand voice guidelines, and translation standards.
- Review AI-generated translations and copy to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand positioning.
Retail Operations & Internal Communications
- Translate and proofread retail communications, training materials, operational documents, visual merchandising guidelines, and store signage.
- Support Sales, Operations, Training, Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, and Loss Prevention with bilingual content needs.
- Write and adapt internal communications, memos, announcements, and store-facing materials.
- Manage multiple content requests and priorities while ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
Copywriting & Creative Content
- Develop engaging, on-brand copy for ecommerce websites, email campaigns, digital advertising, social media, and other marketing channels.
- Write compelling product descriptions, category pages, landing pages, and promotional content that support customer engagement and conversion.
- Adapt campaign concepts, slogans, and marketing messages creatively for both English and French audiences.
- Ensure a consistent tone of voice and brand identity across customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, Design, and Merchandising teams to support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives.
- Create, review, and optimize ecommerce product copy, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with SEO best practices with the support of ecommerce director.
- Identify opportunities to streamline content creation through AI-powered tools, automation, and standardized workflows.
Experience and Skills You'll Bring
- Degree in Translation, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both French and English.
- Experience in copywriting, translation, or ecommerce marketing, ideally within retail or fashion.
- Strong understanding of brand voice, digital marketing, and SEO best practices is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI-powered writing and translation tools, with the ability to use them effectively while maintaining quality.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management platforms.
- Creativity, adaptability, autonomy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
