This is the job for you if: You love working as a member of a team You have speed, accuracy, and attention to details You are able to make an assortment of beautiful flowers/floral arrangements, airbrushes products, and excellent handwriting to decorate cakes to Graeter’s standard You are passionate about the work you do, and you share that enthusiasm! Physical Demands Able to lift waist-high to 40-pound items (icing buckets/boxes) up to 10-15 times a day. Lifting sheet pans (5 to 15 lb. with or without cakes on them) up over the shoulder to stack or place on a rack. Lifting and moving trash and other moderate items. Frequent standing in one place with occasionally walking to get supplies – 95-100% of the day. Walking up and down steps. Slippery surfaces with flour and water on the floor – including walk-in freezers and refrigerators. (Slip-resistant shoes required) Physical dexterity to bend, lift, fold boxes, stack, clean, open heavy bulky doors, etc. Physical dexterity and strength to fill and squeeze pastry bags of icing and ice cakes using a spatula for up to 10 hours a day, four days a week. Minimum Qualifications Reasoning Development: Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving some variability. Mathematical Development: Add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform basic multiplication and division. Language Development: Read at a level to be able to understand instructions, able to compare similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; able to speak with others clearly and convey information effectively. Licensure & Certifications: None required, being an RBA certified decorator is desired Education: High school graduate or GED Graeter’s offers the right person the ability to develop within a growing organization.
