Shipping & Receiving Clerk Location: Chesapeake, VA Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $17.75 per hour Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently Prepare and verify shipping documentation Use UPS and FedEx shipping systems to create and track shipments Maintain inventory records and support basic inventory control processes Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Assist with general warehouse duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations required Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software preferred Current or recent forklift experience required Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or warehouse systems (WMS) Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong communication and organizational skills Additional Information Candidates will be asked to complete a brief hands‑on assessment during the interview, which includes processing shipments using UPS and FedEx systems.
