Assistant General Counsel

The AGC has the following duties and responsibilities: Represents and advises in all legal matters for THR hospitals, THPG, or other THR System Services departments. Handles a wide range of legal responsibilities as assigned. Assists with interpretation and application of State and Federal rules. Participate as a member and/or attend various committees and/or meetings. Education Bachelor's Degree Required J.D. Required Experience 7 Years Legal experience Required 5 Years Legal experience in specialty area of position Required Healthcare Law experience is Strongly Preferred The primary focus of work experience in the hospital/health care industry should includeHospital operations. Medical malpractice experience isnotrelevant to this position. Licenses and Certifications JD - Juris Doctor by State Bar of Texas with in 6 Months of hire Required Skills Strong academic credentials, excellent writing and speaking skills, ability to relate to all levels of personnel within THR as well as medical staff members.
