Travel Speech Language Pathologist

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 2+ years experience for a 13-week inpatient acute care assignment.

Job Details

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting,
• 100% adult patient population with no pediatric caseload,
• Average caseload of 10-14 patients per day, with 6-8 visits per day,
• VFSS swallow studies preferred (MBSImP certification a plus) though not required; FEES not used at this facility,
• EPIC EMR used for documentation,
• Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts,
• 40 hours per week guaranteed,
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation required,

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required,
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required,
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated required; license required if applicable,
• Must be able to pass a negative drug screen for all panels as facility is a Drug-Free Campus,
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft software,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail,

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat patients to restore or develop swallowing, speech, and communication functions,
• Administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests and conduct swallowing evaluations,
• Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress,
• Local candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a local rate,
• No radius rule restricting eligibility for this position,
• COVID vaccination is not required for this facility
