We're seeking an HVAC Estimator in Washington, D.C. to develop accurate and profitable cost estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.

Responsibilities
- Prepare full estimates for new construction, renovations, and design-build projects.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment.
- Review project drawings and specifications to ensure the entire scope is covered.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive and complete pricing.
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project managers to review labor strategies and construction schedules.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to verify existing conditions.
- Coordinate the transition of won bids to the operations team during kickoff meetings.
- Track estimated versus actual costs to improve future bidding accuracy.
