Benzinger’s Clothing Care is seeking a skilled and motivated Alterations Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with solid sewing experience and a passion for customer care who can contribute to a team and wants to keep perfecting their craft.
Compensation: $18.50 - $19.50/hour, based on experience
Schedule : Sewing hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
We're open to talking about part-time or full-time options!
- Complete basic to moderately complex repairs and alterations on garments and household items
- Assist with fittings and take accurate measurements
- Operate sewing machines, manual tools, and pressing equipment
- Record and interpret alteration instructions in our system
- Collaborate with customer service staff to ensure client satisfaction
- Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs
- Maintain quality, fit, and proportions in all alterations
- Experience with sewing tools and machines, and ability to perform basic to intermediate alterations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Maintain attention to detail
- Willingness to learn more advanced techniques and grow into a specialist role
