Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital social work services to elementary-aged students in a supportive educational setting. You'll play a key role in fostering students' emotional, social, and academic well-being, ensuring every child has the tools to succeed.
This assignment is based at an elementary school and serves students from kindergarten through 5th grade. The position is available immediately, continuing through November 4th, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The work schedule is full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:35 PM. All work is conducted onsite.
What we're looking for:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license, including Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Demonstrated previous experience within a school setting, preferably in elementary schools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and staff
In this role, you will:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for K–5 students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Develop and implement interventions and social-emotional programs
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and school support services
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
