Associate or Full Professor (Ladder Rank/In-Residence) Gastroenterology

Position Overview Title: Gastroenterology Associate or Full Level faculty position in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type, rank, and/or step. The base pay range is $97,500 - $440,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Division Position Description The selected candidate will lead a cutting‑edge esophageal research program focused on advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and management of esophageal diseases. The candidate will develop and maintain an innovative, extramurally funded research program and contribute to the Division’s research portfolio while providing strategic leadership in esophageal research. The successful candidate will teach and mentor fellows, residents, medical students, postdoctoral scholars, and junior faculty as appropriate, and contribute to educational programs in gastroenterology and esophageal diseases. The candidate will also participate in divisional, departmental, and University service activities and contribute to maintaining a collegial and collaborative academic environment. Basic Qualifications MD, MD/PhD, or PhD in Biomedical or Health Sciences relevant to Gastroenterology and Hepatology. MD or equivalent must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology and have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification.
