Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group in the medical-surgical setting according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect and assess data, analyze findings, determine diagnoses or care needs, and develop an individualized care plan.
- Implement, coordinate, and monitor the plan of care; ensure patient safety and a healing environment; promote education for patients and families.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and revise care plans as needed; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families; delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing staff as assigned.
- Document care and patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate essential updates to the care team.

Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) with active California license (state of practice) required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required; facility-specific BLS as applicable.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care/med-surg nursing experience.
- Skills: EPIC experience required; ability to work in a high-volume, safety-focused environment; strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Other: Ability to perform duties in a hospital setting and participate in day shift rotations as specified.
