Position Description:

Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Changes linens, transfers or transports patients as needed, and maintains a safe and sanitary environment. Follows established health, safety, and patient care procedures while delivering quality care in a correctional healthcare setting.

Requirements:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of assistive nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, and basic health and safety practices
• Knowledge of human anatomy
• Strong attention to detail
• Current BLS certification (including CPR, AED, and ventilation skills) preferred/required per facility guidelines
